Lightning!!!

My first attempt at shooting Lightning shots. I took these from Manara in Beirut

3 buildings in a droplet

This was with my Sony DSC H9. It was after a rainy day, so i thought of taking some pics. Its been a while since i used this cam.

Beautiful Sunset

Beautiful Lebanese sunset. This was on the way back from Tripoli. I stopped at a port with my friend. I took some very nice pics, but we were attacked by mosquitos so we had to leave.

Trip to Kusba

This was at a village called Kousba, on the way to Tripoli in Lebanon. It was a beautiful village that had this very nice forest and a river running along it. On the left, there were a set of stairs carved in the mountains, that take 30mins to complet. And at the top there is a small monastery

This was a beautiful traditional village house in Dayr Al Kamar. I really liked the shape of the stones and the allignment of the windows of this house.

Beirut, the beautiful capital of my lovely country Lebanon

This pic is also from Manara, Beirut. I thought it would be nice to also shoot the buildings because of their colors, and also because of their reflection on the sea.

This is from Manara, Beirut. I was not actually planning on photographing the moon on this night because i didnt know it was coming up behind the mountain.When i noticed it, i decided to focus on it becuase it was looking beautiful. I really liked the reflection of the moon on the sea water, and the long trail it created. The clouds around it also give it a nice effect.

The unfortunate ones in life

This poor beggar was lying there beside the walls of a garden near my house. Ive been wanting to take pics of poor people for a while, and this time i had the urge to finally go for it, and not be hesitant about it. She saw me, and waved, but i wasnt sure if she wanted me to leave her alone, or she didnt really care about what i was doing. I changed to the zoom lense, snapped 2 pics and walked away. Am hoping to take more like these, but its gonna be tough

Gone Fishing

I was walking by Manara in Beirut, and there is a good fishing spot for fishermen to get different types of fish. With the help of the fishermen who knew when a fish was caught, i was managed to capture a couple of pics, and chose these three as my favourites.

Panoramic

I took this while walking in downtown Beirut. I took 5 photos and merged them though photoshop. But it put them in perspective because it couldnt merge them in a normal way.

Wanna smoke?

I was bored at home, and felt like doing something. So i get the cam, light up the cigarette which took a while cause i dont smoke, and then set the cam on a tripod on the other side of the table. Hooked the telephoto lense and tried some shots. Chose this as my favourite

Silhouette

I liked these two photos because the yellow background was from a plastic wall fixed around a certain area that is being under construction. The sun was hitting the wall and these plants were right behind it.

More from AUB

The beautiful flower overlooks some trees, a tennis field below them and finally the newly built football field and grandstands for the AUB football and rugby teams.

A beautiful bench

I liked the angle of this shot, because of how the bench appeared in the background, and how colorful the flowers were in the forfront. Gives a nice feeling of comfort for that bench. But unfortunatly the flowers in the background are abit oversaturated and i couldnt fix it as it would ruin the colors of the flowers at the front.

Fern Trees around AUB

I really like the leaves of Fern trees, so i took a couple of pics and came up with these two as my favourites of the set.

Flowers around AUB

I saw these weird looking flowers around a green area for students to sit on inside my previous university. I really liked their shape and colors, and the second photo interested me alot because of the spider web that covers the flower.

Well i am back to Lebanon, so i thought the first pic i would put is one i took from a building in Downtown Beirut. I am not sure what the building is for, but really liked the Lebanese flag appeared in that photo with the skies and light behind it.

My Reflection

My reflection in a spoon, this was during the flight back home. I was really running out of ideas to entertain myself on that boring flight

This is from the same location like the previous post of waterflow, but here i chose to use fluerescent white balance rather than tangsten. I really like how it is possible to imagine shapes and that appear from the waterflow.
