Trying out this technique with the new cam. Slow shutter speed, and zooming in just as i press the shutter release button. It needs a tripod to get it perfectly right, because of the nudge that happens as i zoom with the lense.

You could achieve this effect in post-processing and concentrate on getting the right composition in situ.
ReplyDeleteIn the case of these photos, I think you've make excellent use of the effect, but the photos just aren't that interesting. They somehow lack a focus point, (the woman in the centre of the last photo is somewhat close to this), and that would be much easier to control if the effect was applied during editing. :)
